Dr Diana Tong Li and Dr Franklyn Chen have presented research papers for the 3rd International Congress of Traditional Medicine in Toronto in 2006 on the topic of Acupuncture for Infertility Cure ---- L-C Natural Fertility Treatment Program. “With over twenty years practice and research, we have developed a special treatment program for infertility couples called the L-C (Life-Care) Natural Fertility Treatment Program”.

Lana first came to our clinic on March 25, 2003 for stress, unbalanced, and prep for possible pregnancy.

Lana wrote: “I came to L-C originally because of fertility problems and the stress related to trying to have a baby. After a couple of months of treatments I started to feel great! (Actually really good after only a couple of weeks) Four months later I was pregnant – with twins. (Careful what you wish). Two years later I am back again, yep, stress and (maybe?) wanting to get pregnant again? Only one this time, ok?”

Ms. Williams first came to our clinic on July 18, 2003, 40 years of age, trying to conceive for approximately 1 year, severe fatigue syndrome, iron deficiency and kidney disease.

On October 30, 2004 Tania come to our clinic with Thyroid problems and having difficulty conceiving. “I have been pregnant in the past and have a two year old son. Four months ago I was pregnant but the pregnancy only lasted a couple of weeks.”

Feb. 15, 2005 – Tania wrote: “Now almost 3 months pregnant with twins.”

Dr. Li was very pleased when she found out through one of her other patients that Tania was pregnant and she called her immediately. Tania said she was certainly planning to call Dr. Li and Dr. Chen after receiving one more test to indicate the sex of the twins and because of her miscarriage history and being pregnant with twins, through the excitement, it was talking a little longer to get in contact with everyone about the good news.

Tania said there were no twins in her family so everyone was very surprised; in amusement her mom said, “It was all Dr. Li and Dr. Chen’s fault that she was having twins.”

In response Dr. Li said, “She and Dr. Chen would gladly take either the blame or the credit for her having twins.”

Condea first came to our clinic on September 15, 2005 seeking treatment for infertility. She had a history of 3 previous unsuccessful pregnancies.

August 2002 – ectopic pregnancy resulted in surgery at 7 weeks with partof the fallopian tube removed.
January 2004 – miscarriage at 7 weeks
October 2005 – sac developed with no fetus in it, and pregnancy ended at 5 weeks.

Did invitro-fertilization in June 2006, and now 6 weeks pregnant

May 21 – Began Suprefact nose spray.
June 21 – 9 eggs removed
June 22 – 6 of the eggs fertilized – all a grade of 16-19 out of 20 - Other 5 embryos frozen – all grade 19/20

Had acupuncture treatment the afternoon before and then immediately after the transfer.

July 7 – Beta HCG blood test level of 158
July 21 – Ultrasound showed a fetus in the uterus with a heartbeat

On March 8, 2007 Condea and Ken welcomed Kasen their BABY BOY!!!!

Ann-Marie first came into our clinic on October 13, 2005 for Infertility.
March 26th, 2008 Ann-Marie wrote: We now have a beautiful 11 month old baby girl named Sophia. I believe that acupuncture had a great deal to do with my success in getting pregnant. Dr Li was an important part of my experience. She is very knowledgeable and I appreciated her open mindedness about more conventional Western Medicine routes (IVF) that I was considering at that time. Heather first came to our clinic on February 3rd, 2006 for Infertility.
July 24th, 2006 Heather wrote: My first appointment was an experience I couldn’t imagine. The calmness and safety that I felt after having been treated was amazing. I had met some of the staff and been greeted with warmness. In unison with the treatments, we were taking the Chinese herbs recommended by Dr Li and Dr Chen. On April 3rd, 2006 my husband and I got the news of our lives, a positive pregnancy test!! Although the happiness was immeasurable, the fear of it being a false positive was overwhelming. At my next appointment with Dr Li we talked about the positive tests and my dear of it not being true. She and the entire staff supported me through my uneasiness until the time that my blood work from our family doctor confirmed that we were going to be parents. I am currently 5 months pregnant and cannot think of a time in life that I’ve felt better. I plan to continue treatments throughout the pregnancy and for up to 3 months after to ensure that I will be calm and maintain energy during what I’m sure will be a hectic time. Lori first came to our clinic on April 6, 2006.  Lori has been trying for 4 years to get pregnant, but without success.

- IVF 2004 unsuccessful
- Had acupuncture from another practitioner which was unsuccessful.

As a result of a combination of acupuncture and IVF treatment, she became pregnant with triplets, and is due March 5, 2007.

E-mail from Lori: “Hi, We went for our ultrasound yesterday and the triplets are BOYS!! Yes, 3 little boys. Ryan has not stopped smiling (he said his cheeks hurt). We are now 18 weeks…halfway there. The little guys weigh in at: baby a and b are 8 oz and baby c is 9oz. They are healthy and very active! I am feeling great… and feel so blessed that they are healthy.”

Alanna first came to our clinic on November 21, 2006 for Anxiety and Infertility.

On June 21, 2007 Alanna wrote: “I am less anxious and have had a few panic attacks since I started treatment. I am getting better at traveling and have been able to travel with others on some occasions. I am feeling a lot less stress and am sleeping better. Judy first came to our clinic on January 9, 2007 seeking help for chronic constipation.

On February 5, 2007 Judy wrote: “After about 1 week of treatments I have had a major improvement with my bowel movements. I now go on a regular basis at least once per day and usually more than that. Ms. Mosher came to the clinic complaining of sinus problems for the past 20 years.

- Frequent infection over the past few years requiring antibiotics. Generally light headed with ears blocked, pain under eyes, ears hurt, pain on forehead area.

Ms. Mosher wrote: I feel fantastic. For the first time in years I have been sinus free for days. My energy level has increased and my family no longer has a cranky wife and mother who is complaining or feeling rotten. Thank-you!

Hyperactivity –

This patient is a six year old little boy. His mother, S.Lanouette brought him in to the clinic.

After the first day of treatment, S. Lanouette writes: “My son Justin is just like a new child. The teachers and day care givers say they can’t believe the difference. He sits still for long periods of time. Justin has even noticed the difference. His health has improved. He says that his heart has stopped racing and pounding, and he feels so much better.
